After twenty-three years of faithful leadership here at CLA, Mr. Philip Tharp accepted the call of God to Henderson, TN, and Mrs. Lisa Fitzwater was asked to fill the vacancy.  A veteran teacher of both private and public schools, she has a unique perspective on education that has been afforded to very few people.  Christian Life Academy is blessed to have someone with both her expertise and vision as its new principal.

"I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as your principal of Christian Life Academy.  Although I have spent the last few years teaching in public schools, my heart lies in Christian education.  Every day that goes by I thank God for CLA and what it has done for the lives of so many children.

After having taught in both Abeka and ACE schools, I decided to go back to college and pursue a Master's Degree.  While attending East Tennessee State University I worked at a local law firm, which helped me to gain a greater understanding of the legal aspects of education.  I received my Master's Degree in Education from Milligan College in 1998 and was awarded "Intern of the Year" during my student teaching.  Over the past seven years, I have taught all grade levels at North Side Elementary School and even won "Teacher of the Year" in 2004.  I do not say this to brag or boast, but to assure you that your child's success is my main focus.  The staff of Christian Life Academy will strive in every way to see that your child gets the best possible education money can offer."
